Business outreach privacy notice

How I use business contact information.

This notice explains the limited information Matt Lawton uses for relevant, one-to-one business outreach.

Who I am and how to contact me

I am Matt Lawton, an independent provider of lead-workflow audits and implementation services. Email: matt@lawtonworkflows.uk.

Information I use

I may use your name, professional role, business email or public business contact route, company, website, public source links, a short relevance note and my contact history with you.

Where it comes from and why I use it

Sources may include company websites, Companies House, public professional profiles and other public business sources. I do not buy questionable contact lists.

I use the information for carefully selected business-to-business outreach about services that may relate to a company’s published enquiry and follow-up processes, and to administer replies.

Lawful basis: legitimate interests

Where the required three-part assessment supports it, I rely on legitimate interests: my commercial interest in offering relevant workflow services to established UK corporate businesses, and a recipient’s possible interest in a low-pressure review of enquiry routing, ownership and follow-up.

I limit the impact by using only necessary professional information, contacting corporate bodies, making a genuine public observation, identifying myself, avoiding tracking pixels and bulk sending, providing this notice and stopping immediately when someone objects.

Sharing

I do not sell this information. It may be processed by the email, document, scheduling and hosting services needed to operate the outreach, subject to their safeguards.

Retention

Uncontacted research records are reviewed or deleted within 90 days. Contacted records are kept for up to 12 months after the last interaction unless needed for a live client relationship or legal record. Minimal suppression details are retained for as long as necessary to ensure no further marketing is sent.

Your rights and right to object

You can object to direct marketing at any time. Reply “no thanks” to any message or email matt@lawtonworkflows.uk and I will stop and suppress your details.

You may also ask about access, correction, erasure or restriction where applicable. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
